  1. Using ST_Bible
  2.  
  3. ST_Bible is a Hebrew Bible Concordance Program, which can search 
  4. for all verses with a certain combination of words. This is a 
  5. shareware program. The demo version is only provided with the 
  6. five Torah books and  can't print anything nor save anything to 
  7. disk. When you start the demo-version you'll find out how to re-
  8. gister.
  9.  
  10. To take the full advantadge of the program you must have a harddisk
  11. with at least 2 meg free space. With floppies the program is slow
  12. and can't search through all the biblical books in one search.
  13.  
  14. You can for example get all verses in Genesis where you find 
  15. Abraham and Sara but not Isak. It will give the following result.

  49. Put KEYMAN.ACC in yout root directory, and the files 
  50. BIBLE302.PRG, ST_BIBLE.PTH and ST_BIBL2.PRT in one and the same 
  51. folder. Put HEBR.KBD anywhere on the disk.
  52.  
  53. ST_BIBLE.PTH is a file where you can specify the path to the 
  54. folder where you have the biblical books.
  55.  
  56. ST_BIBL2.PRT (Only for registered users) is a file whith printer 
  57. codes. It was designed for the Star Gemini 9 pin printer in IBM 
  58. mode. I hope it is not too hard to rewrite it for another 
  59. printer.

  61. ST_BIBL2.DJ (Only for registered users) is a file with printer 
  62. codes for the HPDeskjet. To use this you must have a Memory ex-
  63. pansion cartridge attached to your HPDeskjet and download the he-
  64. brew font HEBR_P10.HPF to the printer before doing anything else. 
  65. Font and fontloader are provided with the program.

  67. First call the KEYMAN.ACC and install HEBR.KBD. Then you can 
  68. write hebrew letters after having pressed the CapsLock key.

  72. When you start the program you will see five menues.
  73.  
  74. File    Write    Context    Combination    Exclude.
  75.  
  76. Under File you specify what books you want to search in. You can 
  77. make a special selection of books and store this under a file 
  78. name, for example tora.sel, or kings.sel, just according to your 
  79. own needs.

  81. Chose Open and make your selection, you can select as many books 
  82. you want. After having made your selection of books, write the 
  83. hebrew word you are searching for. Of course you have to write it 
  84. backwards. When you have written a word, you can use the arrow 
  85. keys to select if you also want the passages where there is 
  86. someting just before (as a preposttion) or after the word. If you 
  87. just want the passages where the word is surrounded with spaces, 
  88. press Return.

  90. Under Write you can chose to get your output to the printer or to 
  91. a file on the disk. For printing, the file ST_BIBLE.PRT must 
  92. contain the right codes according to your printer. If you don't 
  93. mark for any of those possibilities, the output will only be to 
  94. the screen.

  96. Under Context you mark for how much of the context you want to 
  97. see. No context means that you will just get the number of the 
  98. quotations.

  100. Under Combination you chose between and and or.

  102. Under Exclude you chose if you want to exclude verses with 
  103. certain words. (As קחצי) in the examble above.
